Where Am I

After this course I have not yet decided where I would like to progress to, the ideal option would be the 2nd year of the Level 3 course as I feel it is the place where I would be most comfortable. I also feel like continuing on with the course will allow me to improve on myself to become a better actor for my potential career further down the line.

Then to further progress I would like to move on to RADA to improve on my acting and my chances of becoming an actor, as I feel the connection that they have will be very useful me.

What skills do I posses

I posses a variety of different skills. These include:

  • Team Work Ability
  • Group Managing Skills
  • Able to read between the lines (To uncover subtext and hidden meaning.)
  • Commitment
  • Motivation
  • Working Independently.
  • Characterisation  
My understanding of given circumstance helped me to do the best I could in my performance of The Three Sisters and the York Realist, mainly using this skill in my scene between myself and Masha in which I created a romantic moment between the 2 characters so that the audience could see the tension between the characters and the lust they have for each other, this makes them forget about the betrayal to the people they are married to.

 I continuously rehearsed my lines and my character movements both in class and out of class in order to completely consolidate my knowledge and understanding of not only my lines but the scenes and the actions and the movement in them.

Next steps

 From my time spent rehearsing, class work and the performances that I have done, I feel like I have definitely improved on my acting skills and my understanding of aspects of characterisations, movement and context. The things that I feel I did not do so well on in previous shows I was able to reflect on that and improve on myself to be better for the ext show, this helped my to consolidate my knowledge and improve on myself as an actor. The input from the Donmar Warehouse gave me and insight to the acting industry and a better idea of how things work. It also allowed me to meet many people at the theatre that could potentially be of benefit to me in the future.

College Performances Evaluations

Evaluation of the Music Class Performance I was part of the audience for the music students who were performing at the college. They used both old and new songs which made an interesting combination piece to watch. Myself and other members of the audience felt included in their show by clapping and singing along with them, all further creating a more fun enjoyable atmosphere to be a part of. Billy Jean by Micheal Jackson was one of the best songs I heard during the performance due to the other singers voices working well with each other. The song Stand By Me was sung in half Spanish and half English which was a good example of diversity which further linked into the ideas they were trying to promote, this definitely made it one of the more enjoyable songs to listen to. The use of many different instruments helped to make the show more effective as there was more to take in which normally is a bad thing, but as the class was so well prepared it made it quite the opposite.
